(1) The extruder and die equipment are essentially the same as those used in conventional extrusion blow molding.
(2) The processing and installation of the billet extruded by the extruder shall proceed through the following steps: installation and stopping cutting, bottom fusion, and neck machining, to produce a tubular preform.
(3) Preform Heating and Installation: Heating equipment includes ovens, heating jackets, heating channels, etc. The heating method can be electric heating or infrared heating. However, the heating device should be capable of precisely adjusting and evenly distributing the temperature, thereby minimizing the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the preform.
(4) There are two types of stretching devices: stretching mandrels and stretching fixtures.
(1) Insert the drawing mandrel from the top of the billet, and under hydraulic pressure, it presses against the bottom of the billet to halt the longitudinal drawing process. Then, use compressed air to blow through the air holes on the mandrel, thereby stopping the radial drawing. Most stretch-forming operations employ this type of drawing setup.
② The stretching fixture is externally clamped onto both ends of the tube blank. Under hydraulic pressure, longitudinal stretching is halted, and then radial stretching is stopped by blowing air. Both the neck and the bottom need to be trimmed. After the flash die is damaged, it can be recycled.
(5) There are many types and specifications of extrusion blow molding machines available abroad, but currently, China does not yet have such specialized equipment.
